As I add resources to this page, I will change the date of the post so you can see at a glance if there's something new since the last time you visited.
Hello and good health to all. I hope you are taking care of yourselves and your loved ones and that this info helps in some small way.
We all know the best way to avoid contracting Covid-19 is to stay away from crowds and to wash your hands several times a day. But it’s hard to wash your hands without water.
Call 313-386-9727 to get water turned back on
Folks who have had their water shut off or who have received a shut-off notice can get their water restored by calling Wayne Metro at 313-386-9727. If your water hasn’t been shut off but you have trouble paying your bill, call 313-386-9727 to enroll in the WRAP or 10/30/50 programs.

For Tuesday pantry pick up, you must live in Detroit zip codes 48219 or 48223 and you must provide proof of residency with current Michigan ID, DTE bill or copy of rent/lease agreement.)
Starting March 18th, hungry kids can get grab-and-go breakfast and lunch at Gompers M-F 8-10:30 and 10:30-1
Kids can go to Gompers to pick up food to be eaten at home. They will not be allowed to enter the school building. There is no id requirement, but it’s not yet clear whether or not kids can pick up food for siblings.

DTE offers low- or no-cost service restoration
DTE is offering restoration of services for no or low cost. You can request a 30 day lock on your account to avoid shutoff. Call: 1-800-477-4747 for assistance. Contact Representative Rashida Tlaib if you run into any problems.
Try to stay calm and avoid hoarding
Worried you’re going to fall off that cultural upswing you’ve been working on? Opera to the rescue. Metropolitan Opera is offering Nightly Met Opera Streams.
And finally, a plea for perspective… If you can possibly keep yourself from hoarding toilet paper and other necessities, there will be plenty for everyone. But as one glance at the grocery store shelves will show, if your closet’s full of TP, it’s at the expense of someone else; their behind is literally on the line. Please, in this time (and all others), do your best to consider the impact of your actions.
