They will also pass out pre-packed bags of food for the food pantry clients on Tuesdays from 1-4p and Saturdays 12-1:30p. (There is no residency requirement for Saturday pantry pick up. For Tuesday pantry pick up, you must live in Detroit zip codes 48219 or 48223 and you must provide proof of residency with current Michigan ID, DTE bill or copy of rent/lease agreement.) Starting March 18th, hungry kids can get grab-and-go breakfast and lunch at Gompers M-F 8-10:30 and 10:30-1 Kids can go to Gompers to pick up food to be eaten at home. They will not be allowed to enter the school building. There is no id requirement, but it’s not yet clear whether or not kids can pick up food for siblings.
