Who We Are

Neighbors Building Brightmoor is a community-driven organization. As an organization, we’ve accomplished huge cleanups, a reduction in crime in the area, improved opportunities for children and teenagers, neighborhood-wide festivals, and more — but all of it has been accomplished by working together with neighbors and volunteers. Here’s some of what neighbors do together:
  • Every other month, neighbors gather for a potluck and meeting where we share information, make connections, and request volunteers.
  • Neighbors work with groups of volunteers to create/maintain parks, board up abandoned homes, and to beautify the neighborhood.
In addition, many neighbors are heavily involved in other community associations and efforts, making the work that NBB does a truly collaborative, community-driven effort.
