12 People were in Attendance

Votes were taken for the existing board members: Trena Ross, Luis Cuenca, Kathleen Hurd and Kieran Neal. All were unanimously ratified
3 new board members were voted in: Karla Davis, Pastor Sam Scarber, and Richard Finch

We discussed the upcoming Christmas Giveaway event on December 19th, spearheaded by Kathleen Hurd, and sponsored by NBB at the community Greenhouse.

We are currently collecting landscape photos of the neighborhood for a news article being written by a Reuters Journalist.

Saturday December 18th from noon-2pm folks will be meeting at the Resource Hub to help decorate the community Greenhouse for Christmas and set up for the Christmas Giveaway event.

There is a hazardous house next to Curtis Green park that needs to be demolished, here is a demo letter we would like you to send to Karla Williamson at the city to help push it up in the demolition schedule:

Hi Ms. Williamson,

I'm contacting you regarding the house that belongs to the Detroit Land Bank - 14902 Beaverland. As you know, we've built a pocket park directly next to that house, with the help of volunteers, the community, and the nonprofits Superhero Training Academy and Neighbors Building Brightmoor (cc'd here). The last element to make it the perfect spot for people in the neighborhood to spend time is for the house at 14902 to be demolished. It burned down in January of 2021 and presents a danger, especially for curious children who may be playing next door in the park. We would appreciate any help you can provide regarding this matter. Thanks so much and Happy Holidays!
